LESSON 1.

Aggiornamento: 28 feb 2020

This is 3rd C from Liceo Scientifico Enrico Fermi in Alghero (SS). During this school year our science teacher suggested us to take part of the "ASOC" project. It's a Green Project to reduce waste of paper. At first we were worried to participate to the project because we thought we couldn't cope with it, together with everyday study. Thanks to the contribution of our teachers we understood what our tasks were going to be, so we now know how to organise our work and we are enthusiastic to participate to the project.

This project, in particular, impressed us a lot, because it’s an innovative learning path which can teach us to be able to develop digital skills and also become conscious citizens that can work together. On 16th November 2019, we went to the computer lab of our school to start searching the projects that could be interesting for ASOC. In the lab, thanks to the teachers Tina Cossu and Carmen Sartore, we did the first selection of the projects. We had two choices: to continue and develop a project that was already started in the past years or to start a new project. Most of the students (15 students out of 16) wanted to start a new project, so we had to start the research on the ASOC site looking for the different options that the ministry gave us.

The projects that impressed us most has been four and on each other we expressed our opinions and observations: the first one was "Punta Giglio Cliff", which attracted us for its environmental importance and it's touristic and economic interest in our land; the second one on the other hand was the "plan and management of the charging structure of electric vehicles" , to cut down the environmental impact of the most polluting used vehicles; the third project that interested us was "basic customer support", to try and increase the youth employment, and last "The reorganization and securing and enhancement of the area fruition system" which seemed particularly able to involve everybody's opinion on the climate changes, prevention and management of thee environmental risks but also with a tourist aim.

Punta Giglio is a limestone headland which with Capo Caccia encloses the Porto Conte bay and it's named after the presence of numerous lily plants. It's made of white limestone dominated by Mediterranean vegetation and several grottoes which have formed due to the karst phenomenon. Improperly it is called "tip" but it has the characteristics of a "cape" for its height above the sea. Thanks to its strategic location between Porto Conte and Alghero it was an important anti-aircraft base during the second world war and there are some structures still today.

Then we analized the roles and the work that we will have to do during the project with the help and the supervision of Ms. Carmen Sartore, Ms. Laura Lorenzo, and Mr. Giuseppe Baldinu, our PCTO tutor. We looked for the roles on the ASOC site and read about different tasks to the whole class.
